Our small group meets by arrangement each month depending on members’ general availability, though normally in the morning on the last Monday of the month. Meetings take place at the Group Leader’s home.

Early meetings take the form of instructional sessions which introduce researchers to the range of data sources available and where to find them. When all the essential ground has been covered, group members are encouraged and expected to explore and exploit genealogical resources themselves using the Internet. Once individual researches are underway, advice and support is offered on an ‘as required’ basis as the inevitable ‘brick walls’ are encountered. For maximum benefit, members should have some basic computing skill, and be familiar with browsing the Internet.
